What exactly is PM-KUSUM?
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan — a central scheme with three parts:

- Component A: Small solar plants (up to 2 MW) on barren farmland, power sold to DISCOM.

Who can apply
- Individual farmers with agricultural land (land record/Jamabandi required)
- Water user groups, SHGs, cooperatives and panchayats
- Applicants who have not received a solar pump under another scheme
How to apply (Rajasthan)
- Register on the KUSUM portal (kusum.gov.in) or your DISCOM's portal (JVVNL / AVVNL / JdVVNL / RREC).
- Upload: Aadhaar, Jamabandi/land record, bank passbook, passport photo, mobile number.
- Choose pump size based on your water table and acreage (DC pumps suit low water tables; AC for deep bores).
- Approval → empaneled vendor installs → farmer's share paid → subsidy auto-adjusts.
