1. What is PM Surya Ghar Yojana?

3. Who is eligible?
- You must be the owner of the house (or have written NOC from the owner).
- You need a valid electricity connection and a shadow-free rooftop.
- Rule of thumb for space: 1 kW needs ~100 sq. ft.; a 3 kW system needs ~300 sq. ft.
- Panels must be DCR/ALMM-compliant and installed by a registered vendor.
4. Documents you'll need
- Latest electricity bill (with consumer number)
- Aadhaar card (Aadhaar-seeded bank account for DBT)
- Bank passbook / cancelled cheque
- Property ownership proof or house tax receipt
- Mobile number linked to Aadhaar
5. Application — step by step
- Register on the national portal pmsuryaghar.gov.in with your mobile number and consumer number.
- Apply for rooftop solar and select your state and DISCOM (in Jaipur: JVVNL / Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam).
- Choose a vendor — pick an empanelled installer like Raavi Solar for the site survey and quotation.
