Solar Panel Price in Jaipur 2026 — Complete Cost Breakdown (1kW to 8kW)

If you have started asking around for a rooftop solar price in Jaipur, you have probably received two or three wildly different quotes for what sounds like the same plant. One installer says ₹1.6 lakh for 3 kW, another says ₹2.3 lakh. Both cannot be right — and understanding the gap is worth more than any discount you will negotiate. This guide gives you the actual 2026 market rates and shows exactly where cheap quotes quietly cut corners.

Jaipur rooftop solar prices — 2026 market rates

These are turnkey on-grid prices with everything included: ALMM-listed Tier-1 panels, a branded inverter, HDGI mounting structure, cabling, protection boxes, installation, net-metering coordination and subsidy paperwork.

Why do quotes differ by ₹50,000 on the same size?

  • Panel grade. A-grade Tier-1 panels (Tata Power, Adani, Waaree, Vikram, Goldi) cost more than B-grade or unbranded stock — but they keep 80%+ output even in year 25.
  • Inverter brand. Growatt, Sungrow or Havells with a real 5-year warranty, versus a rebadged box with no service network.
  • Structure quality. 150+ km/h wind-rated HDGI with proper earthing, versus thin painted angle iron that rusts in two monsoons.
  • What is "not included". Some quotes skip net-metering fees, extra cabling, earthing or subsidy paperwork — and bill them later as "extras".
  • Workmanship. Certified installers cost more than day labour — and it shows in the first dust storm.
💰 Honest math: a plant that costs ₹20,000 more upfront but generates 8–10% more for 25 years returns that money many times over. Cheapest is rarely the best deal in solar.

What the subsidy actually does to your price

Under PM Surya Ghar, every rooftop plant — 1 kW or 8 kW — gets a maximum ₹78,000 subsidy paid directly to your bank account. That is why a 3 kW plant lands near ₹1 lakh, and why the effective rate per watt drops sharply at 3 kW and above.

Monthly cost with an EMI

Banks now offer solar loans from 5.75% for up to 10 years. A 3 kW plant after subsidy (~₹1,00,000) costs about ₹1,400–1,900/month on EMI — while it saves ₹1,500–2,000/month on the bill. The plant pays for itself from the very first month.

What size do you actually need?

  • Bill ₹1,000–1,500 → 2–3 kW
  • Bill ₹1,500–2,500 → 3 kW
  • Bill ₹2,500–4,500 → 5 kW
  • Bill ₹4,500+ or ACs + EV → 8 kW

Exact sizing depends on sanctioned load and roof shadow. Check our full price list and Savings & EMI calculator for your exact numbers.
